In-Land Technologies Service Aviation Fuel Storage System at Major Midwest Airport

Posted: Monday 15th of June 2009 04:23:39 PM

In-Land Technologies Service (ITS) upgraded the aviation fuel-storage system at a 1.2 million-square-foot Mid-West-located International Airport with an advanced, underground fuel system that provides an efficient, cost-effective and accurate way to refuel planes throughout the airport.

For this project ITS designed, engineered and manufactured the control system and instrumentation for the online ordering and underground fuel delivery systems. These tools reduce the number of employees needed to refuel, significantly upgrade the security level of the airport post-9/11, improve system monitoring and more accurately track fuel intake and costs.

ITS excels at providing customized electrical engineering solutions, said Rick Schmidt, Jr., vice-president of ITS. The aviation fuel-storage system designed for the airport presented particular challenges based on the scope and scale of the project. Then, there are the increased government specifications to reduce terrorism threats at American airports.

From concept to design, ITS. delivers quality automation and instrumentation solutions. Based in Millstadt, Ill., ITS is an experienced partner in the automation industry with a staff that boasts decades of combined engineering experience.
