Millstadt Sees Industrial Growth with the Addition of New ITS HeadquartersPosted: Thursday 9th of April 2009 09:26:24 PM
In-Land Technologies Services (ITS) is in the midst of preparing for a
new corporate headquarters. Unlike any other building in Millstadt,
the facility will include several internal and exterior features that
put this structure within a class of its own. The building is
scheduled to be completed in November 2007.
Located at the corner of East Adams and South Breese, local residents
can expect to see considerable changes as construction of the new
headquarters continues. The two-story building will feature an
exterior of rough-faced block and brick; accompanied by large windows.
Including the basement, the building will encompass more than 15,000
square feet of space. Visitors can park in either the front or side of
the building.
"With 1,800 square feet available, I don't foresee a problem filling
additional space with a professional firm. Our large offices, dramatic
foyer and full-size windows are a few of the amenities we have to
offer. We anticipate choosing tenants to fill these spots fairly
quickly as construction progresses." says Derek Eastep, chief operating
officer for IMG.
IMG selected local architect Gary Shondy to design the building and is
working with Gasser Construction, of Millstadt, for the building's
construction. Dan Jackson, of Southwest Bank in Bellville, worked with
IMG in financing the project.
"We appreciate the number of businesses around the area who have helped
us in the development of our new building," said Rick Schmidt, Jr.,
president of IMG. "We feel honored to be located in an up-and-coming area; giving us room for growth and opportunity."
Plans for the building's interior include a state-of-the-art conference
room featuring hardwood floors, displays and a cove ceiling; along with
high-tech equipment and communication capabilities. These additions
will give ITS up-to-the-minute methods of efficiently communicating
with clients. Once inside the first floor foyer, employees and
visitors will notice a divided staircase; giving the building an
atrium-like effect.
"It will be unlike any building in the area," said Linda Saputo, IMG
chief financial officer. "The new ITS headquarters is a true
reflection of the unique and novel aspects of the company, which shines
through the architecture and feel of the building. ITS continues to
grow and change each year. As a result, the new building is a better
representation of the company's image and capabilities."
The company was founded by Rick Schmidt, Sr., and John Ruggeri. It was
originally located in Dupo, Ill., before moving to Millstadt in 1990.
ITS is a global leader in full-spectrum service for plant automation
and custom fabrication services. From design to commissioning, ITS has
been a respected partner for regional, national and international
companies since 1988.
